Simple Present Tense Part 2

Jika semester lalu kita sudah membahas tentang Simple Present Tense yang menggunakan To Be (is, am, are), maka di semester ini kita akan lanjut ke Simple Present Tense yang menggunakan Verb (kata kerja).

Kata kerja yang digunakan adalah Kata kerja bentuk 1. Dalam bahasa Inggris kata kerja ada 3 bentuk. Bentuk 1, biasanya dipakai pada tenses simple present dan future. Bentuk 2, biasanya pada simple past tense. Bentuk 3 digunakan pada kalimat bentuk perfect dan passive.

Kita fokus pada Simple Present Tense.

Kalimat positif dan negatif.

Simple present digunakan untuk menyatakan kebenaran umum dan kebiasaan. Ada rumusnya.

Kalimat positif: S + Verb (+s/ es) + o + adverb.

Kalimat negatif: S+do not/ does not+Verb+o+adverb.

Pembedanya ada pada kata NOT, yang memiliki arti TIDAK. Juga ada tambahan kata kerja bantu berupa DO atau DOES.

Mari berlatih terlebih dahulu, sebelum kita melanjutkan pembahasan.

Contoh:

Please change the sentences below into negative sentences.

1. My father cooks in the kitchen.

     Answer: My father does not cook in the kitchen.

2. They read the books well.

     Answer: They do not read the book well.

3. I make orange juice in a big glass.

    Answer: I do not make orange juice in a big glass.

Exercise:

Please write your name and class in the colomn comment. Then do the task well.

1. I clean the bathroom everyday.

2. They go to school by bus.

3. My teacher goes to Jakarta today.

4. We buy a new car for our holiday.

5. You help her to finish her task.
